Welcome to Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy, a preschool enrichment program offered in partnership with the City of Milpitas and supported by Jensen Performing Arts. This unique program is designed for young children from 10 months to 5 years old, helping them build essential early learning skills through movement, music, art, and foundational academics. With a focus on social, academic, and motor skills development, Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy provides a joyful introduction to the learning journey.
What to Expect at Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy
Children participate in a well-rounded schedule that includes movement and dance, music appreciation, visual arts, reading, and math readiness. Each activity is planned to make learning fun while building essential skills for early childhood development.
Our activities support both large and small motor skill development, giving children a chance to develop balance, coordination, and fine motor control. Group activities encourage sharing, teamwork, and communication.
Guided by passionate educators from Jensen Performing Arts, each class fosters a warm, supportive atmosphere that helps children thrive and feel at home in their learning space.
As part of the Jensen Performing Arts family, Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy integrates elements of dance and creative expression, providing a pathway for young children to explore movement as they grow.
Give Your Child a Magical Start with Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy
To better serve the unique needs of each age group, Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy offers a range of classes organized by age and developmental focus. Each class engages children in hands-on, age-appropriate activities guided by qualified instructors in a supportive environment.
Young children and their caregivers explore learning through movement, music, art, and beginning academic skills. This interactive class offers a wonderful step into group learning, with a parent or caregiver present to guide each Tiny Star through the experience.
- Age Group: 1.5 – 2 years old
- Focus: Introductory movement, music, art, and learning skills.
- Requirements: One adult must accompany each child. Comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes are recommended.
This energetic class blends dance, song, and basic tumbling to help children discover the joy of movement and rhythm. Designed to allow young children to explore the fundamentals of tap and tumbling, this class welcomes parents to participate, although children are encouraged to dance on their own.
- Age Group: 1.5 – 3 years
- Focus: Tap, tumbling, song, and movement fundamentals
- Requirements: Comfortable clothing, ballet shoes or sneakers for children, and sneakers for parents if participating on the dance floor.
Our Little Stars Learning Academy program focuses on preparing children for Kindergarten through an engaging blend of movement, music, art, reading, and math readiness. This Pre-K enrichment program emphasizes motor skill development and academic foundations in a warm, supportive environment.
- Age Group: 2 years, 10 months – 5 years
- Focus: Pre-K academic and social readiness, motor skills development
- Requirements: Children must be potty-trained and wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.

For over 45 years, Jensen Performing Arts has been a cornerstone of the Milpitas community, fostering a love of dance and creativity across generations. Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy grew from our dedication to young learners, and it embodies our mission to enrich the lives of children through movement, music, and learning.

Since its founding, Tiny & Little Stars Learning Academy has offered Milpitas children a joyful start in learning through movement, music, art, and play. Many Little Stars go on to pursue dance with Jensen Performing Arts, underscoring our studio’s commitment to enriching early childhood education within our community.
Led by Tina Jensen, a dedicated Milpitas educator, Little Stars Learning Academy provides children with essential social, motor, and academic skills that support Kindergarten readiness. Each class encourages creativity, builds confidence, and introduces routines in a safe, fun environment that fosters curiosity and self-expression.

The Tiny Stars program includes options for ages 1.5 – 2 years and 1.5 – 3 years, while the main Little Stars Learning Academy program is ideal for children ages 2 years, 10 months through 5 years.
Our program emphasizes both academic and social skills needed for Kindergarten readiness. Through activities in movement, music, art, reading, and math readiness, children build confidence, motor skills, and social connections with their peers.

Children should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes for safety and ease of movement. Some classes recommend ballet shoes or sneakers.
Classes are held at both the City of Milpitas Recreation and Community Services Center and Jensen School for the Performing Arts at 1491 N. Milpitas Blvd.
