Have you met Gabriela yet? She is the 2017 American Girl doll of the year! Gabriela is a dancer! She has a wonderful story to tell. If you read her book you will be pleasantly surprised to see that her mother/dance teacher's name is "Miss Tina." Yes, she was named in honor of our very own Miss Tina! We would like to thank Katie (Bignell) Woehr for the honor. Katie is currently a book editor in New York and had the opportunity to put some of her childhood memories in the book. Katie wanted Miss Tina to know how special she was to her growing up at Jensen's. If you read the book there is a reference to "Tick Tock Boom" One of the first tap steps Miss Tina teaches in her preschool class. It just goes to show you that dance stays in our lives forever!
